P-Vock's Music Box: OBJECTION!

Hello and welcome back to P-Vock's Music Box. Maybe it's the heightened energy of sports playoffs (in which both my Flames and Celtics have yet to disappoint me. Yet.) in the air, maybe it's the fact that I'm in the process of getting ready to move and feeling the stress that accompanies it, or maybe it is some weird mid-twenties angst, but I feel like arguing right now. I want to yell at someone and tell them they're wrong. Luckily, I know the perfect series to accompany my desire for discourse.

Ace Attorney is an absolutely wild series. Not only is it the only time I've ever enjoyed the courtroom, but it's also the only time I've ever thought lawyers were anything above spineless, money-hungry, asshats.

Just try and tell me that that insult is anything but straight fire.

The characters in this series are just bonkers, the scenarios are outrageous, the courtroom banter between the incredible characters is infinitely memorable and quotable, and the music accompanying everything is top-fricking-tier. Let's start off slow.

Maybe I'm the only one, but I think this music slaps. Usually accompanying slower scenes and calmer discussions, the music is laid-back enough to be elevator music, but keeps a nice melody that is truly deserving of the phrase "ear-worm." But alright, you know how it works around here by now (and if you don't, welcome I'm P-Vock and I'm an idiot). First, we start off slow, and then we get a little more intense. Let's rock:

You're in the courtroom, some wild criminal with a weird hairstyle and hilariously punny name has delivered a wild alibi, and you've found the hole. So you clap back, and as the sweat forms, this music flares, and you start the counterattack and take apart their little facade. This music not only captures the intensity of capturing a murderer but manages to deliver a certain level of hope and cocky optimism. You know you have them, and they know you do as well. This music fits that mood perfectly and feels like the auditory equivalent of a cocky smirk.

Alright, I'm too tired to keep rambling, so I'm going to go away now. Thank you, as always, for checking out my dumb series. I hope your weekend is as phenomenal as these tunes, and I'll catch you right back here next week with another suggestion from my Music Box. Stay Brutal.

PS. Because I love ya, have a fantastic cover of Pressing Pursuit.
