P-Vock's Music Box: Let's Dance
Hello and welcome back to P-Vock's Music Box. After last week and the depressing news, I wanna smile. Luckily, I have some tunes that I am certain will get you grinning and vibing like a damn fool. So join me as we take a journey through a world of witches and demonic wonder.
The Bayonetta series is one of my favourite, and one that is both easy and difficult to play. You play as the titular witch, Bayonetta, and absolutely eviscerate angels and demons. You do this smile. You do this with grace. You do this with music accompaniment that always puts a smile on my face. So, instead of vaguely describing this wonderful series, enjoy the introduction many players had to this series in 2009, with a remix to a classic song you may be familiar with (I'll also throw the full version right after it in case you're so inclined).
I just had to play the whole scene because this series is pure freakin' chaos and I absolutely cherish it. Bayonetta is the most confident and self-assured character in media, and this wonderful remix of Fly Me to the Moon effortlessly captures that perfectly. I'm feeling damn good after that, so let's keep these vibes rolling with another absolutely jamming battle tune.
That saxophone though. Hot DAMN that saxophone. Bayonetta is a series all about mastering the combat and learning to play as perfectly as possible, which can extremely daunting and frustrating at first. However, the music is so damn encouraging that the player should never feel discouraged from learning and getting better. Once the player does get those combos and dodges down, however, it goes from a fun series with ridiculous combat to one of the most incredible and smooth experiences one can have with this stupid medium.
Alright, it's about time I wrap this nonsense up. I hope your weekend is as stellar as this music and I hope you carry yourself into it with as much confidence as Bayonetta does when she climbs onto a skyscraper-sized angel or demon coated in fire and proceeds to literally tear them apart in the sexiest way possible (I went all post without mentioning it, but Bayonetta also just kind of looks incredible). I'll catch you next time with another suggestion from my music box. Stay Brutal.
PS here's one more because I like you so much for clicking on this video (I'm also sharing this one because the thumbnail features the design of Bayo from the second game that is way better than how she looked in the first game, in my opinion).
