Welcome to Monday Morning Musical Mayhem: an online series that focuses on musicians, bands, artists, and whoever else in the musical industry that reaches out to us! The goal is help spread the word about people doing rad stuff in the music world! Are you doing rad stuff? Email us at brutalrealitydigest@gmail.com to be featured! xoxoxo

Alright, it's been a week. Let's go back to Ontario now! It is here where we can find Daneo Disaster - the rhythm guitarist of Midland, Ontario's Wormhusk! Stick around to hear Daneo's thoughts on YTV, Motorhead, and Yoko Ono! We might talk about his band too; you're gonna have to see for yourself! Let's goooooo!

BRUTAL REALITY DIGEST: Identify yourself, your band, and weapon of choice.

DANEO DISASTER: I’m Daneo Disaster, I’m the rhythm guitarist and backup vocalist for the band Wormhusk! My weapons of choice are my girls; Sasha, ESP LTD Deluxe, and Charlotte ESP LTD EC-256. I’m a bit of a wrestling geek!

BRD: Tell us something we should know about Midland, Ontario that Wikipedia won't tell us!

DD: Midland has the best Restaurant ever called Dinos! They make these unreal sandwiches and the most amazing pasta salad! Like the portions are outa this world, words can’t explain.

BRD: You guys covered Motorhead's most famous track. What is a deep cut by them that you think more people should hear?

DD: I think a banger by Motörhead that gets passed by quite a bit is “Get Back in Line”. For track that came out 30 years after “Ace of Spades”, I think it definitely holds up as one of the forgotten Motörhead tracks.

BRD: For some reason your name reminds me of the maggot on the old YTV show, Freaky Stories. Do you remember that show and channel? If you do, PJ Fresh Phil would be proud.

DD: Ahah ya I remember that! YTV was my jam! I guess the WORMHUSK is kinda like a modern day “Maurice the Maggot”!

BRD: What is a city you're absolutely dying to play in?

DD: For myself personally Toronto. It sounds crazy, I’ve played everywhere else around it but every time I had a show lined up there, something happened and the show never happened. It’s a curse.

BRD: Would you let Yoko Ono scream in your face for 10 minutes a day for a year if it meant your next album would sell a million copies? See below for reference.

DD: That may have been the scariest thing I’ve ever seen ahaha. As for a year straight, for my boys sure. I mean, weeds legal in Canada so. I’d just get lit and try and make the best of my daily Yoko Roar.

BRD: Have you ever written absolutely atrocious lyrics and if so, can you please share them with us.

DD: I mean, I do have a rap diss track against my ex wife. It’s under the artist name, “Captain Send It”, songs called “Mook”. You can find it on YouTube. Super savage.

BRD: What is a piece of advice you'd give to 13 year old you?

DD: Practice guitar more so 31 year old Daneo doesn’t have to practice as hard, and be an adult at the same time.

BRD: What is a fad you wish would come back?

DD: I’m all about the Bleached hair and I rock it personally. But other then that, pogs were unreal! I wish I still had my collection!

BRD: Tell us about your plans for the remainder of 2021 and beyond!

DD: Just hope to be able to play a show this year! Also we’re planning to drop the full length WORMHUSK album so that will be intense!! After that just want to see the world get back to normal for everyone and go see a live concert, mosh, and crowd surf!
