Alien in Exile #21
The perspective that you will hear from today is from someone who is not from earth but also not from anywhere else. We are the underground, we are an outsider, we are outcast, we are, the alien in exile.
Hello humans. We are back writing this blog after a short hiatus where we had thought that we could escape this planet, but here we still are. If you care to listen, we would like to share our perspective with you on some human policies that we have been trying our best to understand. It is a common theme across the world that baffles us and we have read some of your history books and it appears that this has been an issue since you first recorded your past.
So without further ado, the perspective for today is: War. We are confused about why war has to involve so many people. We think that the problem should be resolved between the parties who have the disagreement at the highest level. Why send millions to fight or die when the politicians and leaders could duke it out? Or at least designate a fighter to represent your political ideals and solve your problem more quickly?

We believe that humans already have the solution. We have observed and taken note of the human nature and ability to play games. One such game is the Olympics, where the best of each country compete for some trinkets and honours. Keep your Olympics, of course but why not model your war after them? So many lives would be saved and it seems to be more civil.
The leaders of countries are always the ones who decide if there is war. Why not make it democratic? Let the people speak for themselves and vote for war or peace. Based on our observations we infer that the general population would not vote in favour of war. The best solution is always peace, and democracy is a good thing.
We are grateful to live in a section of earth where there is not presently a war going on. And we are respectful of the fact that this section of earth is free thanks to the efforts of previous generations. But now we like to believe that humans are evolving and there is a better way to be free. Just accept the differences of others and mind your own business, and maybe then there will be peace.

The current state of the countries on earth with the most influence has an alarming fact. There exists enough bombs and weapons possessed by humans to wipe out the species along with many other innocent creatures. Why humans would create such a threat is beyond belief. And with the current leadership, the power to push the button is misplaced and war seems to be imminent.
We believe that the greatest respect that can be given to those who have served and fought and died for their countries is to ensure the peace and freedom that they were fighting for and put an end to this archaic and deadly game.
We are the Alien in Exile and we want solace in knowing that earth has a future.
Conclusion: War = Extinction
