Alien in Exile #18

The perspective that you will hear from today is from someone who is not from earth but also not from anywhere else. We are the underground, we are an outsider, we are outcast, we are, the alien in exile.

Hello there, humans. Today we have been rather grateful for some of the better relationships in our life. Although we do not personally know very many humans, we have discovered something different. We have referred to you as denizens of Earth in the past but we were not including all of the creatures of Earth as perhaps we should have. Therefore today we would like to share with you our perspective on quality relationships that are not with humans.

The perspective for today is: Pets. We do not like this word for a fellow creature but such is the human English language. We do prefer the term “friend” for the creatures who are generally described as pets, however we have already covered our perspective on friendship in blog #2. We ARE delving further into the subject of friendship though as we have observed and discovered that some of the best relationships are with our so-called pets.

Pets, or rather the friends that they are, offer a relationship that is quite nonjudgmental. If one of these creatures dislikes you it it usually for a very simple reason that is often easily corrected with a morsel or a treat. Non human creatures on this planet are extraordinary in that they do not possess the capacity for evil. Yes, they kill and consume one another as part of the food chain, but they are honest about it. They do not kill on terms of war or hatred or any kind of inherent ability to torture or cause suffering.

It is true that a lion or other such predator will tear apart another animal alive to consume as food, but we still think that is a far better fate than some animals fare in captivity on this planet, which can be long and drawn out and a miserable existence for the creature. This is why we are shocked when some people treat their pets this way instead of the friends that they really are.

We do not hate humans, or really even dislike them very much, we have met several humans who seem to be likeable and nice people. But what we do dislike very much is the attitude of some humans towards their fellow denizens of this planet. If humans truly believe that they are better than the other inhabitants of this planet than they can prove it, and be humane in all of their dealings with their fellow creatures.

Our solution to this problem is the same as always. Respect and equality are 2 factors that come out as the best solutions to the equations for some of the most pressing problems on earth. We are the Alien in Exile and we want peace. Conclusion: [(RESPECT) x (equality)] x (creatures of earth) = peace on earth
