Alien in Exile #15
This is a blog that seeks to offer you a unique perspective, it has not all been done before. The perspective that you will hear from today is from someone who is not from earth but also not from anywhere else. We are the underground, we are an outsider, we are outcast, we are, the alien in exile.
Good day to you humans, and it is a good day, at least for us. The fall season is almost here and we do like it, it is one of the more agreeable seasons in the area of Earth that we occupy. Since we are in such good spirits, we would like to share with you today another one of our perspectives on the finer things we have discovered on this planet that also has a dual nature. In blog #6 we had shared our perspective on an art form namely, music, and we would like to continue with this theme.

The perspective for today is: Photography. We will start with some of the positive aspects of photography we have observed, like the fact that it is an art form. There are literally millions of beautiful photographs in existence on this planet, and we do find most photographs beautiful but we have only observed 417,328 images that were taken with a camera in our lifetime. We possess many images of our own, 27,452 to be exact and this is still a small number compared to all of the images we have actually observed with our eyes. We still believe that our perspective is relevant and qualified though, and we will share with you our results.
In present day, photos as they have been called, are actually digital images. The technology that humans use these days is passable in our eyes, but the image is only as good as the skill of the person who captures it. This is how it is an art form. It is also a useful record of life where memory fails, and a type of evidence, as well as a reference to reality. These are some of the positive aspects of photography, and we agree that photography is generally a good thing.

However, photography has negative aspects. The most obvious thing we have observed is that the images are deceiving. The image only captures part of a scene, from one vantage point, and the nuances of a camera are that it can alter the perception of reality, so that it is completely false. We have observed many, many photos that are blatant lies. Mainly on social media, a human invention that we do not pretend to understand, despite exhaustive analysis and seemingly endless hours spent using the human abomination that is social media. (That is a perspective for another day however)
We have observed that the negative aspects of photography can be turned into a positive, when these deceptions become a form of art rather than a record or evidence of some kind. We believe that this is the best, most efficient, reliable, and honest use for photography. Our solution to counter the deception of photography is that humans only use it for and believe it to be art.
We are the Alien in Exile and we want honesty. Conclusion: (PHOTOGRAPHY) = (only) ART
